GROUP LIFE

It’s fall and group life is kicking off! Below is a listing of the groups who are beginning their fall sessions (Children’s, Youth, Men, Women & Life Groups). Along with some promo videos of some of the studies. Please be patient while we update our information this coming week and check back frequently as we will change as soon as we have more information. Jesus Came to Serve – Be Like Jesus

Pastor Fred’s series “Born to Serve” led us to four ways we will serve our community both locally and globally. We will be posting ways you can help during the summer. Our four areas are: Serving Watermelon to the youth after football practice at our local high schools. Providing a baby shower to young moms through AVA Care. These moms may not have the privilege of being given a baby shower. Backpack Back to School Clothes Line – Bring new or very gently used clothes for our backpack families to choose from for back to school. Sole Hope -providing blue jean materials that will be made into shoes for children in Uganda and also medical kits to help their feet heal. FIRST we are providing medical kits to help clean their feet, you can donate these by including the following in a quart sized baggie: 1 tube of antibiotic cream, 10 bandaids, 10 alcohol wipes, 5 safety pins, and a snack sized baggie stuffed with cotton balls, also add in $2 for the shipping and a tub that will purchased on site. Christmas Angels

Be a help to someone this Christmas! Here are some ways you can: Submit a name for our angel tree – we need your name and phone number, family last name, ages, gender, clothes sizes and gift ideas. Take a tag later in November from our tree and return a gift. Take one of our 50 bags for the Grottoes Food Pantry and fill full of supplies for a Christmas meal for a family. Bridge of Hope Annual Fall Luncheon & Fashion Show

Bridge of Hope Annual Locavore Luncheon & Fashion Show. Saturday, November 12, at Park View Mennonite Church. Come enjoy a delicious meal prepared by Bowl of Good and created by local food blogger, Jennifer Merch. Browse & bid on the silent auction items, and be entertained by the fashion show featuring clothing from Gift & Thrift and accessories from Ten Thousand Villages. All proceeds to benefit Bridge of Hope, a ministry serving homeless and at-risk single mothers and their children in our community.
