Children’s Ministry
Nursery care is provided during our worship services for children birth through four years old. Ages 13 years and up are welcome to help. Contact Laura Waldron.
Children’s Church is held for both services for children ages 4 years through 5th grade. To volunteer, please contact Laura Waldron.
Jesus Seekers is our evening children’s program for youth ages 4 years through 5th Grade; We meet Wednesday evenings (school year) from 3:00 to 4:30pm on the Children’s Level; To register or volunteer, contact Laura Waldron.
Vacation Bible School is held the second week in June. Contact Jan Alexander for more information.
Glowfest is our annual Halloween alternative – We host over 300 kids each year with games, food, horses, petting zoo, rides and more! If you’d like to help, contact Lillian Barnhart.
Youth Ministry Youth meet weekly on Wednesday evenings also 6:30 to 8:00 pm. We meet in the youth center. If you are interested in volunteering, please contact David Miller.
Life Groups We are always interested in those who are willing to host and/or lead a group. Contact Pastor Fred.
Local Outreach. We volunteer with Friendship House at Blessed Sacrament Church in Harrisonburg to feed the hungry 3 or 4 times a year. We also look for other ways we can impact our community in the name of Jesus. For information on local outreach, contact Pastor Gail.
Small Jobs Team helps people in our church (or related to) by helping with household projects for those who can’t complete household projects such as ramps. Contact Jeff Riddle.
Hospital Team provides visitation to those in the hospital. If you care interested, contact Pastor Gail.
Bereavement Team provides a loving outreach to those who have lost a loved one by bringing a care package to the house. Contact Pastor Gail.

Sewing Team Sews blankets that we give to children when they are dedicated as a way to remind the child and parents we are blanketing them with our prayer and support. Contact the church office at 289-5592
Meals Ministry provides meals to our church families after surgery or lost of loved one. If you’d like to help provide or deliver a meal contact Kristie Grant.
Angel Tree is our Christmas program to provide clothes and gifts for children of families needing help. Contact Martha Porter.
Properties Committee Are you handy around the house? Sometimes God’s house needs those who are handy. If you are willing contact Paul Baker.
Special Events – Like to celebrate? We need help doing so with set-up and clean-ups and the meals. If you’d be willing to help, contact Gwen Armentrout.
Connections Team If you like to welcome new people into our congregation, then this is the place for you! There are many areas you may serve: Door Greeter, Welcome Center, Ushers, Welcome Meals, etc. Contact Pastor Gail for more information.
Praise Teams, Special Music or Tech Teams
Special Music is always welcome? We are blessed to have so many participants share their gift. You can call Randy Bryant or Pastor Fred about special music; Contact Gail for tech teams.
Local Outreach
Backpack Buddy program sends bags of food home with children in one of our local schools. These children are without a permanent home in our community. These bags of food give them breakfast, lunch and dinner items to help them through the weekend. Donations may be left on the shelf in the lobby. Contact Brandi Heiston.
Agents of Mercy Food Pantry serves local families with monthly boxes of food. Church members can donate and deliver boxes. Donations may be left on the shelf in the lobby. Contact Pam Shroyer.
Mission Trips (these are the trips we regularly serve on, others are added as needed)
National Disaster Relief. We send teams of adults and youth to areas of the United States that have suffered natural disasters. Teams have visited the Gulf Coast, New York and Oklahoma.
Kentucky Mission. Each year we have a team that visits the Riverside Christian School in Lost Creek, KY. This school is located in the poorest county in the state and they need our support with supplies and labor. Contact David Raynes.
Puerto Maldonado, Peru is the location of an orphanage sponsored by the Brethren Church. We take yearly trips to help build and maintain this orphanage. Contact Jon Mackey.
